...where community life is important
Stacyville has a long and proud history as a growing, vibrant community in northeastern Iowa. Since 1856, its farmers, townsfolk, and surrounding neighbors have worked together for the common good, helped each other in challenging times, and celebrated shared and individual accomplishments. As a resident or a visitor, Stacyville has lots to offer. It's very proud of its strong local businesses, the modern full-service library with free wireless internet, active clubs and organizations, great schools, and popular parks. Close by you'll find excellent health care, colleges, and attractions for all ages -- bike and snowmobile trails, golf, public swim pools, shopping, movies, and local and regional theater and music.
And right now, lots is going on! The City is preparing to build a new fire station at Broad and School Streets. The industrial park north of town has a new concrete road and continuing improvements. The Access to the Future project at Visitation Church has just been completed -- construction of a new entry with elevator, accessible to all. And the Monitor-Review newspaper is under new ownership and expanded coverage.
Explore the website and see for yourself that in Stacyville, community life is important.
